Middle MAX is a long-anticipated addition to the MAX family of booming support stands. In line with the Matthews Studio tradition of designing equipment to suit the demands of an ever-evolving industry, the features found in Middle MAX answer the needs of the image creating community.
With a reach of over 12 feet and a capacity of 80 pounds at full extension, Middle MAX stores at a height of 64 inches, enabling it to support an array of lighting units and still fit into van packages. Whether on stage or during location work, Middle MAX can be safely maneuvered, thanks to 10"x3" puncture-proof tires and a hand truck-style steering handle. For expanded usefulness, especially in the Key Light position, the new Light Mount also accommodates 3 lock-off or fixed positions - Down, Up, and Out (Key) - as well as the standard self-leveling feature. Like its big brother, Middle MAX is capable of supporting mounted equipment up to 6 feet below grade, meaning that it can support gear 6 feet lower than the roofline or balcony it is standing on.
