CYC LED 600W is an asymmetric direct light wall-washer featuring two parallel rows of LEDs, thus ensuring a uniform projection of 6×8 metres in width by positioning the fixture just 0.75 metres from the backdrop.
All the spotlights of the Hyperion Series include features designed to solve or minimize these disturbances. For example:
Silent mode – a spotlight needs a cooling system to operate properly, which can be passive (like a radiator) or active (with fans that “blow” away hot air to keep the source within an ideal temperature range). The silent mode function allows control over the speed and thus the noise of these fans: an algorithm detects internal temperatures via a thermostat and regulates the current to ensure continuous operation of the spotlight, preventing damage or shutdowns. In certain situations, such as in the lighting grid above a symphony orchestra or in some art museums, “absolute silence” is required, so it is necessary to be able to disable the fans.
Flicker free – when recording a show with cameras or even just a smartphone camera, annoying flickering may appear on the screen due to frequency conflicts between the LED light emission and the scanning of the receiving camera’s sensor. This conflict must be resolved either by adjusting the camera’s recording settings or the parameters of the LED source.
Stand alone – this function allows controlling one or more fixtures without using a console. The software enables creating one or more static colors and defining the duration and sequence of each.
The function can be set on a single fixture or on a group of fixtures. In the latter case, it is necessary to define the “master” fixture and the “slave” fixtures.
In old halogen fixtures, modifying the white color temperature required the use of CTO (orange) and CTB (blue) conversion filters.
In the CYC LED, it is possible to set the white color temperature between 2,700K and 8,000K directly from the fixture menu.
WIRELESS DMX VERSION (ON REQUEST)
In the wireless version, the DMX signal is transmitted via cable from the console (or splitter) to a transmitter that converts it into a radio signal, which is then sent to a receiver installed in the fixture. This solution is useful in situations where cable use is not possible or is discouraged due to excessive distances.
